On PC, Helldivers 2 DLSS 4.5 support headlines a broad set of upscaling options, joined by FSR 4 upscaling and XeSS 3.0 support to cover the full modern GPU landscape. NVIDIA users gain DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, while AMD players with newer hardware receive FSR 4.0.3 and those on older Radeon cards fall back to FSR 3.1.5. Intel Arc owners are included with XeSS 3.0, ending a long period where internal resolution scaling was the only performance tool. This is particularly important at 4K and for mid-range or aging GPUs that previously struggled to keep frame rates consistent during the most chaotic missions. Having three vendor-agnostic upscalers in the same gaming performance patch gives PC squads much more flexibility to balance clarity and performance, whether they aim for high-refresh competitive play or a sharper image at moderate frame rates.

PS5 Pro users benefit from PSSR 1, Sony’s in-house upscaling solution, while both PS5 systems finally receive VRR support on compatible displays, addressing a long-running complaint about inconsistent frame delivery. Arrowhead has framed this patch as the start of an ongoing optimization roadmap, with another tech-focused update already planned for later in the summer.
