That launch sits on top of Grok 4.5, introduced earlier as the company’s strongest model for coding, agentic tasks, and knowledge work. Put bluntly, Grok is moving from “answer this prompt” to “own this job.” The bet is that AI team automation will matter more when it lives inside the tools where work already happens than in yet another standalone chatbot window.

Cloud Computers and Autonomous Workflow Agents
The most opinionated design choice in Grok Bot is giving each Bot its own shared cloud computer. That sounds technical but the impact is practical: these autonomous workflow agents can log into inboxes, CRMs, web dashboards, and even sites without clean APIs, working the way a human would. On the infrastructure side, an option agreement gives one company the right, but not the obligation, to acquire Cursor within a specific window that runs until late 2026, signaling how strategically important this channel is for routing AI work.
The near-term roadmap is modest but telling: an Android app is listed as coming soon, and broader enterprise access beyond the included tiers is gated behind a waitlist now open through xAI’s sales channel. The direction is clear. AI is moving from a sidebar feature inside one app to an always-on mesh of autonomous workflow agents sitting across your stack.
