Yet reviewers note that while the AI vocal synth is polished, many of the generative tools feel clumsy, and the instruments lag behind existing libraries. The lesson is harsh but useful: generative help must respect musical nuance, or producers will go back to playing parts themselves.

AI inside familiar DAWs lowers barriers without tearing up workflows
The most encouraging trend is not standalone AI workstations but AI features that live inside existing DAWs. Meanwhile, Aiode’s licensed models and planned DAW functions hint at a more sustainable path where AI plays the role of session player rather than replacement band.
