World-facing sensors enable hand tracking, 6DoF tracking, and multimodal AI, while the X1S handles low-latency spatial display to keep virtual content anchored in the real world.
Android XR, Gemini, and the App Ecosystem Advantage
Aura’s strategic bet is its tight integration with Android XR and Gemini, making it more than a display for existing devices. Because it runs Android XR, Aura gains day-one access to millions of Android phone and tablet apps through the Play Store, alongside a growing library of XR-native titles. Google says hundreds of Xreal Aura developer kits are already in the hands of developers through the Android XR Catalyst Developer Program, spanning entertainment, productivity, gaming, sports, healthcare, and enterprise.
