Defining Agentic Advertising Platforms
Agentic advertising platforms are AI-powered systems that use intelligent media agents to automate end-to-end workflows across planning, buying, activation, and optimization while preserving human decision gates at key moments. These systems connect audience intelligence, automated media planning tools, AI media buying automation, and real-time media decisioning in one environment, so campaigns can be adjusted continuously based on performance signals and inventory changes. Instead of static plans and batch reporting, agentic platforms let software agents coordinate tasks such as budget allocation, bid adjustments, and cross-channel optimization in parallel. Humans set strategy, guardrails, and objectives, while agents carry out day-to-day operations and surface recommendations for review. The aim is to reduce workflow fragmentation, speed up execution, and improve campaign outcomes without handing over unchecked control of media spend to opaque algorithms.
FOX AdStudio Pushes End-to-End Agentic Advertising
FOX Advertising is turning its FOX AdStudio data and technology stack into what it calls the industry’s first end-to-end agentic advertising platform, embedding agents across audience planning, media transactions, and activation. The idea is to give agencies and brands a single, secure system for automated media planning and campaign execution across both linear and digital media. Through agent-to-agent workflows and partner integrations, FOX promises a smoother path from audience insights and strategic planning to orders and activation, backed by FOX’s real-time intelligence on content and inventory. A security and governance-first protocol is presented as the backbone, so agentic advertising platforms support trusted applications at scale instead of black-box automation. “With the introduction of agentic capabilities, we’re taking the next step in the evolution of the FOX AdStudio,” said Jeff Collins, President of FOX Advertising, Marketing and Brand Partnerships.
Stagwell’s Media Machine: 20+ Intelligent Media Agents in One OS
Stagwell’s The Media Machine shows what a full lifecycle agentic media operating system looks like in practice. Built by GALE with media agency Assembly and the Stagwell Media Platform, it uses more than 20 intelligent media agents across the entire workflow to blend automation with human expertise at every stage. The platform’s operating layer supports agentic buying and connects planning, activation, and optimization in a single workflow, integrating directly with major ecosystems such as Google’s GMP products, Meta, Microsoft & LinkedIn, TikTok, and The Trade Desk. A unified ID graph powers audience-first planning from brief to activation, while advanced modelling updates performance insights continuously for smarter, real-time media decisioning. Because The Media Machine works with existing tools like Slack, Teams, Adobe, and performance dashboards, marketers do not need to adopt a new closed system to gain AI media buying automation and automated media planning at scale.
Horizon Media’s Blu Platform Tackles Workflow Fragmentation
Horizon Media is attacking workflow fragmentation with an Agentic Orchestration Layer inside HorizonOS’ Blu platform. The update positions AI agents as an execution layer that responds to performance signals across channels, linking audience intelligence, activation, and measurement. Horizon’s focus is orchestration, not just automation: letting intelligent media agents make buying and optimization decisions across channels and publishers based on a unified set of signals, instead of handling each channel in a separate loop. A complementary agentic integration layer, built around partner APIs and Model Context Protocol support, is meant to standardize how external vendors and publishers plug into Blu. That “open ecosystem” stance is designed to cut time-to-value by allowing partners to connect once and inherit core data and signals. At the same time, Horizon emphasizes human oversight, governance, and clear decision rights as AI media buying automation begins to drive more execution-level choices.

LiveRamp’s Agent Builders and the Rise of Open Agent Networks
LiveRamp’s Agent Builders (LAB) program highlights how ad tech providers are trying to scale agentic capabilities through partner ecosystems. LAB gives brands access to a range of partner-built agents that can transform planning, measurement, activation, and data transformation inside LiveRamp’s platform. Marketers can deploy agents into new or existing workflows, while partners use LiveRamp’s APIs and MCP servers to make their agents available to all LiveRamp customers. Founding partners include SemantIQ, which supports AI-native workflows in LiveRamp’s Clean Room for health and life sciences marketers, and Newton Research, which uses intelligent agents to unlock analytics and media optimization across data environments. Akkio extends the stack from audience discovery through analysis and segmentation. As LiveRamp’s chief product officer Matt Karasick said, streamlining each priority on marketers’ “agentic buying checklists” should help them tap the “exponential potential” of these agentic advertising platforms.
