A50 Signature: a high-end integrated amplifier for modern systems
The ARCAM A50 Signature amplifier is presented as the most complete high-end integrated amplifier the company has produced, and as its clearest statement of Class G expertise. Co-developed with co-founder John Dawson, it avoids retro reissues and instead captures what five decades of amplifier design in Cambridge have taught the brand about power, control and everyday use. The A50 Signature is ARCAM’s first fully dual mono Class G integrated, with each channel built as a discrete amplifier section, including its own PCB, output stage, lifter stages, power regulation and transformer windings. This layout, backed by a centrally located power supply and separated analogue, digital and power paths, targets maximum channel separation and low crosstalk. Rated at 2 × 150W into 8Ω, and using an ESS ES9039Q2M DAC in a fully differential configuration, the ARCAM A50 Signature amplifier is clearly aimed at demanding loudspeakers and system-level integration rather than spec-sheet bragging.

Beyond raw power, the A50 Signature is designed as a central hub for contemporary listening habits, bringing streaming-era features to a traditional high-end integrated amplifier format. Digital inputs include HDMI eARC/ARC for TV connection, USB-C audio, optical and coaxial S/PDIF, plus two-way Bluetooth with Snapdragon Sound and Auracast for flexible wireless listening. Analogue sources are covered by three RCA inputs, a balanced XLR pair and a built-in Class A MM/MC phono stage, ensuring turntables sit comfortably alongside digital front ends. Control is handled via RS232, trigger in/out and USB service access, underlining its role in complex systems. Inside, the physical separation of analogue, digital and power domains is mirrored on the rear panel, where speaker terminals sit at opposite ends of the chassis. This structure supports the brand’s system philosophy: each piece is voiced and engineered to work as part of a cohesive Radia ecosystem.
CD25 and the premium CD player revival
The CD25 extends the Radia platform into premium CD player revival territory, underlining ARCAM’s long-standing belief that physical formats still matter for many listeners. Positioned as a reference CD player for the series, it draws on the company’s disc heritage and becomes the first ARCAM design since the FMJ D33 DAC to use a dual mono DAC architecture. ESS Hyperstream 4 technology, fed by a linear toroidal power supply and housed within a vibration-damped structure, is intended to improve separation, detail and dynamic control from CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs. Balanced XLR and RCA outputs allow direct connection to the A50 Signature or other Radia amplifiers such as the SA45, SA35 and A25+. Externally, the glass front panel, OLED display and metal chassis follow the Radia visual language, signalling that this is not a retro throwback, but a contemporary statement source tailored to committed disc collectors.
