100W Integrated-Power Lights Aimed at Mobile Production
Godox RS100R lighting and the RS100Bi push S-Mount LED lights into a more ambitious role for mobile production lighting. With up to 28,600 lux at one meter from the RS100Bi at 5600K using the lens reflector, output now rivals Godox’s own mains-powered SL100Bi, yet remains fully battery-driven. The RS100R full-color model still delivers 15,900 lux at one meter at 5600K with the reflector, trading a little intensity for RGB flexibility. Both fixtures use a cylindrical monolight body, with a 1/4-20 thread and an included bracket for standard light stands, making them as easy to rig on a cage as on a C-stand. Positioned above the earlier 60W RS series, these 100W heads are no longer just for accents; they can credibly serve as a key in lean, location shooting equipment kits built around portability and speed.

Built-In Batteries and PD Fast Charging Reduce Downtime
A defining feature of the RS100Bi and RS100R is their fully integrated battery system, which delivers around 52 minutes of continuous full-output runtime. Instead of juggling NP-F plates, external power bricks or AC adapters, crews get a single, streamlined unit that is faster to deploy and lighter to pack. USB-C Power Delivery support, across an 18W to 140W charger range, means the same high-wattage brick used for laptops or field monitors can rapidly recharge the light. Godox quotes about two hours to a full charge from a 60W or higher source, and the fixtures can operate while charging for extended sessions. For mobile production lighting, this PD workflow dramatically cuts turnaround time between setups, and the rear OLED’s runtime countdown helps teams decide whether to roll, recharge, or plug into mains without guesswork.
S-Mount Ecosystem: Modular Tools for Creative Location Work
The Godox S-Mount at the front of each RS100 body is key to their appeal as location shooting equipment. This proprietary cylindrical mount supports a broad ecosystem: lens reflectors, parabolic and rectangular softboxes, Lantern modifiers, the BeamLight S20 narrow-beam booster, LiteFlow accessories, diffusion domes, parallel beam boosters, zoom lenses, and the compact SP36/50K projection attachments. These “ultra-mini” projectors are notably smaller than traditional designs, with a rotating body and interchangeable lenses that turn the RS100 into a practical gobo projector for backgrounds or stylized practicals. Because RS60 accessories remain compatible, existing users can drop the new 100W heads into their kits without reinvesting in modifiers. At a starting price of USD 229 (approx. RM1,070) excluding tax, building multi-light setups becomes more financially realistic for emerging filmmakers and small content teams.

Design, Control, and Why These Lights Democratize Professional Setups
The compact, backpack-ready design of the RS100 series simplifies on-location workflows: no separate ballast, no external battery, and minimal cabling. Dimming from 0.0% to 100.0% in 0.1% increments, with selectable response curves, gives fine control for both narrative fades and punchy practical effects. The RS100Bi offers a 2,800K–6,500K range with high CRI/TLCI claims, while the RS100R extends from 1,800K to 10,000K with full RGB control and multiple color modes, including GEL and X-Y. NFC tap-to-pair links the fixtures quickly to the Godox Light app, which handles wireless control and firmware updates, while an optional DMX adapter integrates them into console-driven rigs. Combining 100W of output, robust color control, an integrated battery, PD fast charging, and S-Mount modularity under USD 250 (approx. RM1,170) per head, these lights lower the barrier to professional, multi-point lighting for agile, location-focused productions.
