From Spreadsheets to Agentic AI in Pharma and Medtech
Pharmaceutical and medical device companies are under mounting pressure to streamline complex commercial workflows while maintaining strict compliance. Bengaluru-based startup SwishX is positioning agentic AI as the next leap beyond traditional analytics and CRM tools. Its platform, built specifically for pharma, medtech and life sciences organisations, uses autonomous AI agents to handle tasks that have long relied on spreadsheets, fragmented systems and manual oversight. SwishX focuses on commercial execution rather than simply recording data, aiming to reduce revenue leakages and boost efficiency across sales, marketing, tender responses and supply chain contracts. As healthcare and life sciences players accelerate adoption of pharmaceutical AI tools, SwishX claims its approach can improve revenue outcomes by up to 30%, turning previously reactive, labour-intensive processes into continuously optimised, data-driven operations. This marks a significant shift in how agentic AI pharma solutions are being deployed at scale.
Inside SwishX’s Medtech AI Platform and Product Suite
SwishX has structured its medtech AI platform around four specialised products that target different points of the commercial lifecycle. Tender IQ automates the end-to-end tender and RFP process, from monitoring opportunities to drafting proposal-ready bid packets, helping teams that previously spent 120 to 150 hours on a single tender. Contract IQ tracks hospital rate contracts, identifies price leakages and strengthens institutional supply chain visibility. Marketing IQ supports compliant healthcare professional engagement, using a database of more than 800,000 verified doctors to drive precision outreach. Channel IQ, meanwhile, offers real-time insight into secondary sales, stockist ordering patterns and distributor compliance—historically opaque areas for many companies. Together, these modules allow pharma and medtech firms to orchestrate drug development automation and downstream commercial activities within a single, AI-led environment, where every action is logged, outcomes are measured and the system learns from context over time.
Automation Outcomes: From Tender Wins to Campaign Conversions
SwishX emphasises measurable outcomes over abstract efficiency gains. In tender management, companies using Tender IQ have reported a three-fold increase in tender business within three months. Teams that previously spent around 80% of their time manually responding to tenders have cut that effort by 80%, while the platform’s AI can analyse procurement documents exceeding 500 pages with 93% pricing accuracy and zero missed clauses. On the marketing side, firms using Marketing IQ have seen a 32% increase in brand visibility within six months, alongside three-to-five times higher campaign conversion rates compared to broad-list approaches. Contract IQ has helped reduce price leakage by 15%, and Channel IQ has improved visibility into distributor behaviour. These performance metrics illustrate how agentic AI pharma deployments can move beyond experimentation to production workflows, directly influencing revenue and operational resilience for 39 enterprise customers already on the platform.
Funding, Governance and Expansion into Emerging Markets
To fuel its growth, SwishX has raised USD 2.2 million (approx. RM10.3 million) in seed funding from investors including Blume Ventures, Powerhouse Ventures, Sadev Ventures and Atrium Ventures. Co-founders Dushyant Sapre and Jai Anand—alumni of Google and Amazon—are targeting USD 5 million (approx. RM23.4 million) in contracted annual recurring revenue and more than 100 enterprise customers by the end of FY27. The company is pursuing a SaaS subscription model, offering modular adoption plus free trials and pilots to lower the barrier to entry. SwishX’s expansion strategy places a strong emphasis on emerging markets across Latin America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe, where manual workflows and revenue leakages remain widespread. To address regulatory and data-security concerns, the platform is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, follows GDPR-aligned practices and embeds compliance checks directly into marketing workflows, all under a human-in-the-loop governance model.
