Samsung’s earlier rule was blunt: after staff uploaded confidential material to external tools in 2023, employee use of generative AI platforms like ChatGPT was restricted for three years over data‑security concerns. Now the company is betting that enterprise AI security features can close that gap. The new deployment gives employees access to ChatGPT Enterprise, which includes controls for data protection, user access, and security management. OpenAI says the enterprise product lets organisations manage users, apply access controls, and align usage with internal security requirements.
