Each notebook now includes a secure cloud computer, a remote environment that can write and run code for analysis, data transformation, or calculations without leaving the workspace. In practice, a single research question can move through source selection, scripted analysis, and formatted output in one place, instead of hopping between a notebook, coding IDE, and document editor. Antigravity 2.0 supplies “agentic coding capabilities,” allowing NotebookLM to decide when to call tools, inspect intermediate results, and refine work products. For research teams, that means data-heavy tasks—such as parsing large datasets or comparing multiple studies—can become repeatable workflows anchored to specific sources, with execution happening in the background through cloud code execution rather than on local machines.
New Source Discovery, Export Formats, and Workflow Integration
Beyond reasoning and code, NotebookLM now focuses on source discovery and exports that fit existing research workflows. The Google Search-based source finding can surface primary documents, related work by the same author, or materials in other languages, all of which users can selectively add to a notebook. Once analysis is complete, NotebookLM can generate a broad set of outputs: PDF reports with charts and tables, .docx documents, Markdown and plain text files, CSV and JSON data, Excel spreadsheets, and even PowerPoint-style decks.
