To turn off Gemini in Google Workspace, IT admins can open the Admin Console (admin.google.com), then go to Apps → Additional Google services → Gemini app and set it to OFF. Next, open Manage Workspace smart feature settings → Smart features in Google Workspace and set those controls to OFF as well. For Chrome, use Chrome Enterprise policies to disable AI features by setting GenAILocalFoundationalModelSettings = 0 and HelpMeWriteSettings, TabOrganizerSettings, CreateThemesSettings, and DevToolsGenAiSettings all to 2 (disabled). Network teams can add a second protection layer by blocking traffic to gemini.google.com, bard.google.com, and aistudio.google.com. This limits both browser-based and standalone access. According to Kaspersky, administrators can also use host-based application control tools such as EPP/EDR or AppLocker to block unauthorized Chrome or Chromium installations that fall outside of managed policy.

Network monitoring can help confirm whether Apple Intelligence is active: traffic to apple-relay.apple.com and *.apple-cloudkit.com indicates AI processing. As a second line of defense, you can block these hosts on corporate firewalls and web filters, with the trade-off that such blocks stop working when mobile devices leave the protected network and connect over external links.
