Google AI Plus is a paid Gemini AI subscription that combines upgraded access to Gemini features with expanded Google cloud storage, giving individuals and families more AI usage, deeper integration in Google apps, and a larger shared storage pool under one monthly plan instead of paying for separate tools and add-ons. Google has now cut the Google AI Plus price to USD 4.99 (approx. RM23) per month and increased the included cloud storage to a 400GB storage plan. At launch in January, AI Plus cost USD 7.99 (approx. According to Google’s AI subscriptions lead Vikas Kansal, the updated price is rolling out globally as the local equivalent and storage upgrades will appear over the next few days.

In Docs, Sheets, and Drive, Gemini appears in a side panel to help draft, summarize, and organize content. AI Plus also boosts access to NotebookLM, offers AI tools in Gmail such as Proofread and AI Inbox, and adds allowances in Google Flow, AI Studio, and Antigravity. You can share many of these benefits with up to five family members on the same plan.
How the New 400GB Storage Plan Compares
The shift from 200GB to a 400GB storage plan changes how AI Plus compares with typical cloud storage deals. For the same AI Plus subscription, you now have more space for photos, videos, and work files, which can replace or reduce the need for a separate Google One tier for many users. AI Pro remains aimed at heavier users, with 5TB of storage and more advanced access, but AI Plus now covers a sizeable middle ground for students, solo professionals, and families. While Google has also introduced a higher-end AI Ultra tier and improved AI Pro without raising its fee, AI Plus stands out by shrinking its price while expanding benefits. Put simply, you get more room to store projects that Gemini helps you create, instead of juggling multiple subscriptions for AI tools and cloud backup.

RM23) price gives users who outgrow the free Gemini tier a lower-risk upgrade step, instead of jumping straight to higher-cost options.
