The lineup will consist of the standard Vivo S60 and a more affordable Vivo S60 Vitality Edition, both already listed for pre-orders on major online retailers. While earlier rumours pointed to additional variants, such as a Vivo S60 Pro Mini, the company has not confirmed any such model for this launch. From what has been teased so far, Vivo is positioning the S60 series as mid-range flagships that blend premium design, camera software innovation and battery endurance. Both models share a similar overall aesthetic, but the Vitality Edition is clearly tuned as the entry point into the family, mainly differentiated by its base memory configuration while keeping most of the headline hardware features intact.
Design, colours and display: flat OLED with fresh finishes
Official teasers show the Vivo S60 series adopting a flat display design with slim bezels and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Vivo claims the sensor can unlock the phone in as little as 0.1 seconds, with fingerprint registration reportedly taking around one second, promising both speed and convenience. On the back, the series introduces a new silver-white finish inspired by summer sea reflections, delivering a flowing light effect that shifts with the viewing angle. In addition, both the S60 and S60 Vitality Edition will be offered in three core colours: Starry Sea, Early Summer Green and Midsummer Night, giving users a mix of subtle and bold options. The standard S60 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, positioning it well for smooth gaming and high-refresh UI animations.
Performance, battery and charging: Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with 7,200mAh cell
Under the hood, the Vivo S60 is tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a chipset designed to bring many flagship-level capabilities to slightly lower price tiers. Paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage on the top configuration, the phone is clearly aimed at heavy multitaskers and gamers. Both S60 models will ship with a massive 7,200mAh battery, making endurance a central selling point of the series. Vivo has confirmed support for 90W charging, which should allow rapid top-ups despite the large cell size. Stereo dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor for tighter haptics and an IR blaster round out the everyday hardware experience. On the software side, the phones will run OriginOS 6 with the Blue River Smooth Engine, which Vivo says boosts fluidity and system responsiveness under sustained load.
Camera system and imaging: 4K Live Photo and Starlight Live
Imaging is another pillar of the Vivo S60 series. Official marketing materials reveal a triple rear camera module and strongly suggest the inclusion of a Sony IMX8-series periscope telephoto lens on at least the standard S60. Vivo is highlighting a revamped Live Photo experience, with the series supporting direct 4K Live Photo output. According to the company, it has optimised end-to-end processing efficiency, memory usage and frame-rate/temperature control to reduce heating and stutters during 4K capture. A new Starlight Live mode can automatically detect bright highlights in a scene to enhance the atmosphere and overall visual quality in both photos and videos, hinting at stronger low-light and night-sky performance. Combined with the telephoto hardware, these software features position the S60 series as a compelling option for users who prioritise photography and videography on a mid-range flagship budget.
Durability, security and variants: IP68/IP69 and Vitality Edition
Beyond performance and camera hardware, Vivo is pushing durability and security as key differentiators. The S60 series is confirmed to carry IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it is designed to withstand dust ingress as well as high-pressure water jets and immersion, making it more resilient than many mid-range competitors. Security is handled by the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, which works through more surface contamination than traditional optical readers. Storage options for the S60 series are broad: both models come in 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB variants, with the S60 also offering a 16GB+512GB top tier. The Vivo S60 Vitality Edition starts at 8GB+256GB, underscoring its role as the cost-conscious choice while still preserving the headline 7,200mAh battery, 90W charging, and overall design language of the more premium S60.
