A Floating Dragon in a Glass Cylinder: Design and AI Holostage

MSI’s most eye-catching move with the MEG Vision X2 AI+ is its AI Holostage: a clear glass cylinder mounted on the front of the case where a red dragon appears to float in mid-air. LuckyClaw wears golden armor and has large claw-like appendages, giving the system a distinct character the moment you press the power button. According to TechEBlog, LuckyClaw’s 3D appearance is created "by a combination of mirrors and projection, removing the need for specialized holographic equipment." That makes the premium gaming chassis both a display piece and an interaction surface. A front-facing microphone picks up your commands, and LuckyClaw responds with an animated, high-pitched voice. The result is a gaming desktop AI companion that feels much more present than a typical on-screen assistant, especially for setups where the tower sits in plain view.

Beyond looks, the Vision X2 AI+ is about agentic AI on a gaming desktop. MSI’s self-developed LuckyClaw assistant, built on the OpenClaw platform, runs locally and is preinstalled on every system. It can switch performance profiles, adjust RGB lighting, and, when paired with an MSI monitor, carry those settings over to your display through voice commands. At Computex, MSI described the goal as providing “physical AI presence” through the Holostage, so actions feel tied to the animated character. TechEBlog notes that the system can produce up to 3400 TOPS of AI performance when its components work together, and MSI intends to run more of LuckyClaw’s models directly on the GPU to cut down on server calls. This turns the rig into an agentic AI gaming PC that can learn alongside you and handle routine tweaks without manual software digging.

The MEG Vision X2 AI+ is also a high-spec machine under its futuristic shell. Early units support Intel Core Ultra processors up to the 285K variant and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs, backed by DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 SSDs for fast load times and AI workloads. Cooling comes from a 360 mm liquid cooler, while an MSI Project Zero motherboard hides cabling for a clean interior to match the external design. Although MSI has not detailed every spec tier, it positions the Vision X2 AI+ as an all-flagship configuration. That fits with the rest of MSI’s MEG lineup, which includes Red Dot Design Award winners like the MEG MAESTRO 900R chassis, MEG CORELIQUID E15 360 cooler, and MEG Ai1600T PCIE5 power supply. Together, they point toward a premium gaming chassis philosophy that values both thermals and presentation.

The Vision X2 AI+ did not appear alone; it headlined MSI’s broader Computex 2026 gaming display of motherboards, cooling, cases, and power supplies. New AM5 boards such as the MEG X870E ACE MAX and X870E UNIFY-X MAX target enthusiasts and overclockers, while MAG and MPG B850-series boards add updated designs and support for AMD’s EXPO Ultra Low Latency memory profiles. On the cooling side, MSI is adding displays and smarter monitoring to both liquid and air coolers, echoing the Holostage’s focus on visible system feedback. In chassis design, the MEG MAESTRO 900R and MPG VIXTA 300 PZ series extend the theme of visual presentation and easier building. Viewed together, the MEG Vision X2 AI+ is less a one-off concept and more a statement that future gaming desktop AI features will be tightly linked with hardware design, not layered on afterward.
