From Chatbots to Agentic AI in Formula 1
Salesforce Agentforce sports deployments describe a new class of AI fan engagement platform where autonomous agents connect data, channels, and workflows to drive proactive, personalized interaction at scale across live events and digital communities. In Formula 1, that idea is becoming concrete through Salesforce’s expanded partnership with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls (VCARB). The team is adopting Agentforce 360 to unify fan data, race operations and hospitality on one AI-powered layer, turning what used to be isolated tools into a coordinated Formula 1 customer experience platform. This builds on the wider sport’s use of Salesforce to blend customer service, sales, marketing and data. Formula 1 already relies on Data 360, AI agents and membership apps to serve hundreds of millions of fans, with self-service rates reported at 70–75 percent and a 50 percent drop in average handling times for complex support queries.

Inside VCARB’s Intelligence Center and TORO AI Agent
VCARB’s rollout makes clear how agentic AI can operate inside the drama of a race weekend. The team is installing a Salesforce Intelligence Center directly on garage screens, featuring Tableau dashboards that compare track data and historical performance in near real time. At the core sits TORO, an AI agent powered by Agentforce 360 that can surface insights and generate custom visualizations on demand for engineers, guests and media. Instead of static telemetry boards, TORO turns the garage into an interactive data space that explains strategy and performance in language fans can understand. For VIP guests and Paddock Club hospitality, Agentforce 360 is set to manage logistics and service workflows, so staff can focus on relationship-building. This is no longer reactive chatbot support; it is an automated engagement fabric threading through the physical and digital race environment.
Slack Communities and Always-On Fan Journeys
Beyond the pit lane, VCARB plans to extend Salesforce Agentforce sports capabilities into year-round digital communities. A dedicated Slack fan community will anchor exclusive content, race-weekend commentary and real-time collaboration between fans and team representatives. Paired with Agentforce 360, AI agents can coordinate content drops, answer technical questions about rules or car changes, and route high-value fan signals—such as purchase intent or hospitality interest—to human staff. Formula 1’s broader use of Salesforce already shows how this orchestration works at scale across social media, membership programs and apps. The sport connects multiple data sources through Data 360 to identify which content formats, languages and messages resonate with different segments. In this model, Agentforce agents do more than reply to questions; they watch for patterns, trigger campaigns, and stitch together consistent experiences as fans move between apps, social feeds and on-site events.
Enterprise AI Orchestration Finds a Testbed in Sport
Formula 1’s scale and intensity make it an ideal proving ground for enterprise AI orchestration. The sport deals with live operations, multiple digital channels, and a global fan base that expects real-time personalization, giving Salesforce a demanding environment to refine agentic AI workflows. Inside this context, Agentforce 360 is positioned less as a standalone bot and more as an operating layer that coordinates Slack, Tableau, Data 360 and service tools into a connected AI fan engagement platform. That vision aligns with wider shifts in Salesforce’s portfolio. Industry voices note that demand for AI in customer experience has overtaken classic contact-center migration projects, and Salesforce’s acquisition of proven AI platforms like Fin is a signal that it sees autonomous agents—often tuned with specialized models—as the next competitive battleground. Sport is where those abstract strategies are being turned into visible, fan-facing reality.
