That combination of 10-bit D-Log recording, high bitrates, and wide dynamic range turns the Pocket 4P into a convincing compact cinema camera for grading-heavy content—especially when you want to match footage to more traditional cinema systems. The Luna Ultra does offer 10-bit modes and high bitrate settings, but the problematic I-Log implementation and fixed internal noise reduction limit the true color and exposure latitude available for grade. Put bluntly: both devices tick the 10-bit box, but only the Pocket 4P behaves like a camera designed from the ground up to survive serious post-production.

Price, Weaknesses, and the Practical Verdict
Price and practicality matter once you get past spec sheets. The Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo is priced at €599 / £529, with a Vlog Combo at €689 / £605, EU and UK prices including VAT; these figures place it firmly in the "serious creator" bracket without drifting into cinema-body territory. The Luna Ultra Standard Combo is positioned as a similar offering with prices listed before tax or VAT, but the exact figures are less clearly laid out. Both share weaknesses: neither lets you disable internal noise reduction, and the Luna Ultra’s I-Log mode is weak enough that standard profiles may be the safer choice until firmware catches up. The Pocket 4P has its own caveat: it is not available in the US at launch due to pending authorization. My view: if your priority is dependable dynamic range and log behaviour, the Pocket 4P is the obvious pick, while the Luna Ultra is a promising concept waiting on a proper log implementation.
