Mechanical Stabilization Smartphone vs Software-First Flagships
Most high-end phones lean on optical image stabilization, big sensors and aggressive software to smooth out shaky clips. Honor’s approach is to move the whole camera module in four degrees of freedom using a titanium mechanical arm that can rotate up to 360 degrees per second. A compact 6.31-inch LTPO OLED with 2,640 x 1,216 resolution, 1–120Hz refresh rate and 6,800-nit peak brightness keeps the form factor manageable while staying visible under harsh light. Yes, the 248g all-metal body is heavier than typical phones, but for anyone who has carried a separate handheld gimbal, this is still a net win in portability.

Honor has been building toward this launch since first teasing the Robot Phone at an earlier flagship event and then showing prototypes at trade shows, and preorders have already surged ahead of the full retail rollout.
