Agentic AI Becomes the New Glue Across Microsoft 365
Microsoft’s latest updates to Teams, Intune, and Dynamics 365 show a shift toward agentic AI workflows, where software agents act on enterprise data and policies to automate routine work, connect fragmented tools, and surface decisions through natural language experiences inside Microsoft 365. Instead of adding separate AI tools, the company is wiring Copilot-driven agents directly into collaboration, endpoint management, and ERP, so actions taken in chat, meetings, or Copilot Cowork remain anchored to governed systems such as Intune and Dynamics 365. For IT and finance leaders, this means fewer swivel-chair tasks across consoles and more repeatable workflows inside existing licenses. The move also signals that Microsoft 365 AI integration is no longer limited to content drafting or search; it is growing into an execution layer that can summarise meetings, enforce device policies, and coordinate ERP steps while keeping data where it belongs.
Teams Meeting Recap Turns Conversations into Trackable Work
The new Microsoft Teams meeting recap app consolidates all post-meeting content into a single experience on the Teams left rail, making the Microsoft Teams meeting recap easier to find and act on. Instead of searching calendar entries, chats, recordings, and tabs, users see recaps from the last 30 days with filters for meeting type, date, and participants. Audio recap now supports multiple languages beyond English, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, and Portuguese. For Copilot-licensed users, Video Recap arrives alongside a new AI recap without transcript option aimed at organisations with strict retention policies. According to Nicole Herskowitz, Vice President at Microsoft Teams, Intelligent call recap brings “AI-powered insights and recaps” to VoIP and PSTN calls, and the dedicated app gives this capability a permanent home. For IT teams, the app is enabled by default but can be managed through the Teams admin centre.

Intune Advanced Capabilities Come Built Into M365 E3 and E5
Advanced Intune capabilities are being folded into Microsoft 365 E3 and E5, expanding what IT can do without extra tools or contracts. For plans that include EMS E3 within Microsoft 365 E3, organisations gain Intune Remote Help, Intune Advanced Analytics, and Intune Plan 2. Microsoft 365 E5 tenants receive all of those plus Endpoint Privilege Management, Microsoft Cloud PKI, Intune Enterprise App Management, and Microsoft Security Copilot. These additions push more Microsoft 365 AI integration into day-to-day IT operations. Advanced Analytics gives endpoint health and performance insights such as device queries, anomaly detection, and battery reporting, while Remote Help adds secure, role-based support sessions that respect Intune RBAC, including unattended scenarios. Endpoint Privilege Management supports a least-privilege posture by elevating specific tasks rather than granting full admin accounts, helping IT run agentic workflows that act on devices while staying inside governed policy boundaries.
Dynamics 365 Copilot Cowork Brings Agentic ERP Workflows to Chat
With the Dynamics 365 ERP apps plugin for Copilot Cowork, Microsoft is pulling ERP processes into a shared conversational workspace instead of forcing users through multiple ERP screens, emails, and spreadsheets. Dynamics 365 remains the governed system of record for finance, supply chain, procurement, and compliance, while Copilot Cowork becomes the surface where people coordinate decisions. Powered by the Dynamics 365 ERP Model Context Protocol server, Copilot can see ERP data and process context, enabling agentic ERP workflows that advance tasks through natural language rather than form-by-form navigation. As Georg Glantschnig, CVP of Dynamics 365 AI ERP at Microsoft, said, “For the first time, ERP gets a fundamentally new interface layer… not organized around how software works, but around how you work.” This repositions Dynamics 365 Copilot from helper bot to execution partner that moves procurement and sourcing work forward directly from conversation.

What Consolidated AI Workflows Mean for Enterprise IT and Finance
Taken together, the Microsoft Teams meeting recap app, Intune advanced capabilities, and Dynamics 365 Copilot Cowork show Microsoft turning Microsoft 365 into a coordinated AI workspace rather than a collection of disconnected apps. Collaboration, endpoint management, and ERP now share agentic workflows that reduce manual data entry and decision-making friction. Meeting decisions flow into trackable items, endpoint events feed into analytics and remote support, and ERP actions can be triggered from chat in context. Because many of these features are included in existing Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 licenses, IT leaders can consolidate AI-driven workflows without adding separate vendors or consoles. The practical work now is governance: deciding where AI agents are allowed to act, how long meeting artifacts such as recaps or transcripts are retained, and how finance and IT teams design approval paths that balance automation with control.
