Clarins’ Longevity Center: Luxury Beauty Meets Epigenetics
Clarins has opened the Dr Olivier Courtin Clarins Longevity Research Center to “shape the future of longevity science” through a multidisciplinary lens. According to Clarins, the centre is focused on epigenetics as “the scientific cornerstone of its mission”, reframing ageing as a dynamic, modifiable process. The team will include experts in ageing biology, dermatology, epidemiology, behavioural science, biomedical engineering and data science, and will oversee doctoral and postdoctoral programmes with global research institutes. Their aim is to map how lifestyle, environment and chronic inflammation alter eight key biomarkers that influence skin longevity, from mitochondrial dysfunction to cellular senescence and macroautophagy. Clarins plans to align these biomarkers with targeted, evidence-based skincare solutions and to share findings through publications, symposia and workshops.
