Visual Intelligence extends this to the physical world: users can point the iPhone camera at food for nutritional information, identify products, or split a bill with friends using Apple Pay. On iPad and Mac, Visual Intelligence is available via screenshots and keyboard shortcuts, turning static images into interactive data. These features push Siri beyond simple voice commands into a screen-aware agent that can read, interpret, and respond to the same information the user sees in real time.

Context, Conversation Memory, and Real-Time Web Search
Siri AI now combines local context with web search integration to answer questions grounded in a user’s real work and communication. It can recall past conversations, retrieve details from shared messages, and reference previous queries through a dedicated Siri app that stores and syncs conversation history via iCloud. The assistant can execute multi-step tasks, adapt writing style to match different recipients, and proofread text in the background across many apps. When drafting emails, it can infer whether a manager prefers bullet points or a friend expects casual language, and then adjust output accordingly. System-wide AI assistant integration means users can stay in their current app while Siri coordinates actions across Mail, Messages, Photos, and third-party tools. This approach aligns with Apple’s measured stance on AI: useful, grounded in real tasks, and designed for practical workflows. The goal is not to build a chatty persona but to embed an efficient, context-aware tool into everyday work and communication.
