Intel Arc G3 is launching as an OEM-centered platform, and Acer’s Predator Atlas 8 handheld is one of the first systems to show how Panther Lake and Arc B390 graphics will appear in real products. According to eeNews Europe, the Predator Atlas 8 can be configured with Intel Arc G3 Extreme and Arc B390 graphics, paired with an 8-inch WUXGA touchscreen at 1,920 x 1,200 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate with variable refresh rate support. It supports up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X memory at 7,467 MT/s and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe storage. Acer is also focusing on cooling and endurance, using a dual-fan setup with one metal AeroBlade fan and battery options up to 80 Wh, all while keeping the listed weight below 810 g for the larger-battery configuration.

Intel Arc G3 represents a strategic attempt to reset expectations in the handheld gaming PC market, where AMD’s Ryzen Z-series and semi-custom chips have set the pace in well-known devices.
