In Photoshop, the new AI assistant functions as a kind of Photoshop AI assistant for production work, not as an art director. It can replace or swap backgrounds, resize assets for different platforms, and organize layers across a complex composite, making social resizes or campaign variants faster. In Premiere, the focus is on Premiere AI editing support for editors who want to avoid repetitive prep. The assistant can sort assets into bins, batch rename clips, identify interview questions, add markers, and assemble a rough first cut directly on the timeline as a working starting point. According to Adobe, each assistant “operates as a specialist within its respective application, orchestrating multi-step workflows so creatives can focus on craft and decision-making,” which underlines that the intent is workflow efficiency rather than automated creative direction.
Illustrator, InDesign, and Frame.io: Automating Production-Heavy Tasks
Beyond Photoshop AI assistant features and Premiere AI editing help, Adobe Creative Agent extends deep into production-heavy tools. Illustrator’s assistant can generate dozens of versioned files from a spreadsheet, reorganize layers for cleaner documents, and run preflight checks for missing fonts or color mode problems before handoff. Firefly’s AI Assistant, already in public beta, now adds skills such as generating a complete brand kit from a short description, turning product photos into short cinematic videos, creating storyboards that can become video sequences, and assembling a first video cut via Quick Cut. Elements let users store recurring characters, objects, and locations, while Projects keep assets and context synchronized between Firefly and Creative Cloud.
