The NL-LC1 family targets mainstream to high-end builds with three radiator sizes: 240mm, 360mm, and 420mm. The 240mm and 360mm units use 120mm NF-A12x25 G2 fans, while the 420mm model steps up to 140mm NF-A14x25 G2 fans, addressing cases that support larger radiators and slower-spinning fans. Noctua pairs these with Asetek’s Emma (G8) V2 pump platform, which features a redesigned impeller and 3-phase motor to cut vibration harmonics, coil whine, and resonance. Pump control is handled via an analogue PWM controller tuned for stability and long-term durability instead of a software-dependent approach. Users can pick from three pump-speed profiles—quiet, balanced, and manual—to fine-tune the performance-to-noise ratio. It uses the NF-A12x25 G2 fan and a revised base for better contact on AM5 and AM4, keeping air cooling competitive in compact builds. For workstations, Noctua presented a dual-tower design with seven heatpipes and a large baseplate ready for future AMD Threadripper and Intel workstation sockets, combined with NF-A14x25r G2 and NF-A12x25 G2 fans. Alongside these, the company discussed ongoing thermosiphon development as an alternative passive liquid cooling concept, suggesting future products that may bridge the gap between traditional air coolers and pump-driven liquid cooling solution designs.

Beyond coolers, Noctua is collaborating with Carbice on the NT-CP1 carbon nanotube thermal pad for AM5 and AM4. This pad targets users who want long-term consistency without the maintenance of conventional thermal paste. It resists dry-out, pump-out, and cracking, and is said to improve through thermal cycling rather than degrade, making it a logical partner for long-lived coolers such as the NL-LC1 series. Noctua is also exploring Intel-focused versions of the pad. Together with the upcoming PRIME TX PSUs and thermosiphon work, these moves show Noctua widening its ecosystem around cooling reliability, not abandoning air towers.
