SAP and Palantir Unite AI and Data to De-Risk Cloud ERP Transformation

AI-Driven ERP Data Migration at the Core of a New Alliance

SAP and Palantir are deepening their strategic alliance to tackle one of the hardest problems in cloud ERP transformation: data migration. Announced at SAP Sapphire, the partnership introduces AI-supported tooling that targets complex ERP data migration scenarios and aligns with SAP’s broader vision of the Autonomous Enterprise. The initiative combines SAP’s enterprise application expertise and SAP Business AI with Palantir’s AIP platform to streamline how organisations move core business data into SAP Cloud ERP. Rather than treating migration as a one-off technical exercise, the collaboration positions it as an AI-enabled, value-generating process. Joint customers can use Palantir AIP for data migration alongside SAP’s agent-led toolchain, including business transformation tools and new migration and modernization assistants. The goal is to move ERP workloads to the cloud more quickly, securely, and confidently, while building a foundation for continuous AI-driven optimisation.

From Project Timelines to Continuous Value: How AI Reshapes Migration

The new SAP–Palantir capabilities embed AI across the full migration lifecycle, from early assessment through cutover and optimisation. Organisations can automate migration analysis, planning, remediation, testing, and impact assessment, reducing manual effort and lowering the chance of human error. SAP positions this as a shift from merely tracking project milestones to delivering measurable business value at each phase. Palantir’s AIP provides data integration, quality, and governance capabilities, while SAP’s agent-led tools help interpret process semantics and transformation requirements. Together, they aim to shorten deployment timelines and unlock cost efficiencies without compromising control or compliance. By treating migration as a continuous, AI-assisted process, enterprises can identify acceleration opportunities across both SAP and non-SAP systems earlier, improve data quality, and arrive at go-live with a more reliable, analytics-ready data foundation that supports autonomous operations and future AI use cases.

Accenture’s Role: Scaling Enterprise AI Migration Programs

Accenture is stepping in as the first global strategic services partner for the SAP and Palantir initiative, translating the new tooling into large-scale, business-led programs. Its role is to help clients weave AI-supported ERP data migration into broader operating-model and process reinvention efforts. By co-innovating with SAP and Palantir, Accenture aims to identify acceleration levers across complex application landscapes, orchestrating transformations that span SAP and non-SAP systems. The firm emphasises speed to value, positioning SAP Cloud ERP as the foundation for modernising core operations and achieving new performance frontiers with AI. In practice, this means designing programs where migration, process redesign, and AI adoption run in parallel rather than sequentially. With services aligned to the new toolchain, organisations can transform their ERP platforms while simultaneously building the capabilities needed for autonomous decision-making and continuous innovation.

SAP-Validated Deployment and the Microsoft Azure Connection

To build trust and simplify adoption, SAP is making Palantir AIP for data migration scenarios available as an SAP Endorsed App in the SAP Store and plans to offer it as an SAP Solution Extension. This provides a validated pathway for customers to accelerate ERP modernization and other SAP data migration projects with preintegrated, certified tooling. In parallel, SAP is expanding its RISE with SAP initiative on Microsoft Azure, more than doubling the number of customers in the joint program. This effort, delivered with Microsoft, offers designated cloud experts, proactive services, and access to the Microsoft Cloud Accelerate Factory at no extra cost. Together, these moves create a more cohesive ecosystem: SAP-validated AI migration tools from Palantir, enterprise-scale services from Accenture, and an Azure-based infrastructure program that supports reliable, AI-ready cloud ERP transformation and smoother go-lives.
