At InfoComm, three launches highlight this shift: AV Stumpfl’s PIXERA GEN2 servers, Navori’s Qompose digital signage platform, and Christie’s Spyder-S 6.1 update. Each responds to the same pressures: more outputs, higher resolutions, and the need to coordinate content across many displays and locations without adding complexity. Real-time tracking data is now expected to inform media playback, SMPTE ST 2110 is moving from broadcast into live events, and cloud-style management of mixed hardware fleets is becoming standard. Together, these products signal a market converging on open integration and broadcast-grade standards.
PIXERA GEN2 servers add real-time tracking and SMPTE ST 2110
AV Stumpfl’s PIXERA four GEN2 and GEN2 RS media servers push the PIXERA line toward larger, more responsive show control. The GEN2 series is built for large immersive productions, XR and AR broadcast work, and complex multi-output installations, with significantly more processing headroom and an optimized chassis. The GEN2 RS variant targets rental staging with a fixed, touring-friendly specification, including 16TB of NVMe SSD storage, dual 25GbE and quad 1GbE networking, 12G-SDI I/O, framelock and genlock support, plus a Dante Virtual Sound Card for audio networking. A new integration with the zactrack PRO real-time 3D object tracking system routes tracking data straight into the PIXERA Effect Engine so content can follow performers and moving objects. AV Stumpfl is also presenting SMPTE ST 2110 capabilities inside PIXERA, underlining how IP-based workflows are becoming foundational for modern media servers.

Qompose digital signage unifies players and mixed-fleet networks
Navori’s Qompose digital signage platform merges the DNA of QL2 and Signagelive into a single, extensible stack aimed at mixed-fleet deployments. Developed across engineering teams in Switzerland, India, and the UK, Qompose introduces a fully rebuilt backend, a new player architecture, and a redesigned user interface. The most visible change is a Universal Player that replaces separate Web, Windows, and Android players with one code base, designed to cut operational overhead when screens change owners or hardware generations. Qompose is described as an AI-first platform: its architecture lets AI agents, automation tools, external data, and business systems interact directly with the signage network for end-to-end workflows in content creation, scheduling, and optimization. Built as a modular, headless, API-driven system with support for modern protocols such as MCP, it gives partners a base to build custom applications and vertical-specific signage workflows on top.
Spyder-S 6.1 update expands live event connectivity and control
Christie’s Spyder-S 6.1 update extends the reach of its modular video processing platform for rental staging, live events, and fixed installations. Spyder-S starts with a single 1RU frame and scales up to 16 linked frames, supporting more than 200 million pixels on one canvas without changing software or operator workflow. In the new release, two additional hardware frames broaden connectivity: a DisplayPort 1.4 frame for background inputs up to 7680×2160 at 60Hz, and an SFP frame that supports 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 with fiber for long runs. An enhanced Configuration Manager, more comprehensive internal and external control options, and better testing and monitoring tools aim to make setup and live switching more reliable. Backgrounds now render without consuming layers, while source mixing uses a single layer, freeing capacity for bigger canvases and more creative stage designs.
A shared roadmap: integration, standards, and real-time control
Across PIXERA GEN2 servers, Qompose digital signage, and the Spyder-S 6.1 update, a common roadmap is emerging for media server software and control platforms.
