According to Gizmochina, “this doesn’t guarantee a quicker One UI 9 release for these devices, but it could mean Samsung may be looking to expand the ongoing beta program to them.”

The stable One UI 9 update is tipped to debut on Samsung’s next wave of foldables, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra, before filtering down to existing devices. Even though older and mid-range phones may not receive every experimental feature, they benefit from the same core Android 17 underpinnings and Samsung software update work.
