When an agent monitors feeds and anticipates tasks in the background, its decision-making becomes harder to track. What Users Should Watch as Remy Moves Beyond Dogfooding

Remy is currently a dogfooding project, tested internally by Google employees, and many technical details remain unknown. It is not yet clear which model version powers it, how autonomous it can be, or whether it can execute actions like sending messages or changing settings without explicit confirmation. These unanswered questions go straight to the heart of AI agent privacy, accountability, and trust. If Remy (or similar agents) reaches the public, users should look for three things: fine-grained toggles for which apps and data streams the agent can access; clear, easily readable logs of every action taken on their behalf; and simple ways to reset or constrain preference learning.
