The announcement centers on expanding both portable and deskside hardware, with pre-configured development environments that remove much of the manual stack assembly developers face today. RTX Spark is pitched as the bridge between creators, gamers, and AI developers, giving Windows AI development teams a mobile platform that can run local agents, fine-tune models, and handle content creation without constant cloud access. HP says these OmniBook systems will be among the thinnest form factors to carry RTX Spark, signaling a focus on mobility rather than bulky “AI rigs.” A matching compact desktop with similar RTX Spark hardware targets deskside creators and AI enthusiasts who want the same development profile at higher sustained power, turning NVIDIA AI PC capabilities into a consistent experience across laptop and desktop.

Grace Blackwell Workstations: Deskside Frontier AI for Windows Workflows

Higher up the stack, HP is positioning the ZGX Fury GB300 as an “ultimate deskside AI supercomputer” built around NVIDIA’s GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip. This workstation-class system is designed for teams that need to run large, always-on frontier AI agents next to existing Windows workflows rather than in remote data centers. The device physically restricts wireless access and limits external interfaces to shrink the attack surface, allowing local agents and hybrid solutions to run without exposing sensitive data to common connectivity risks. For mainstream Windows AI development and everyday coding, HP’s OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC serves as a compact “Mini AI PC” powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with built-in AI capabilities. It includes Thunderbolt Share so one keyboard and mouse can control two PCs, plus fast file transfers and support for up to four 4K displays, giving developers a small-footprint machine that can anchor multi-system workflows at the edge of their AI stacks.

AMD Ryzen AI Workstations and HP’s Competitive Position

HP is also expanding beyond NVIDIA AI PC configurations with AMD Ryzen AI options aimed at developers who prefer open software stacks. The HP Z2 Mini G1a will bring AMD Ryzen AI PRO 400 series processors together with the validated AMD Ryzen AI Halo developer software stack, including the Ryzen AI Developer Center, AMD ROCm, pre-installed AI frameworks, models, and guided playbooks.
