Vendors that still treat AI as bolt-on task automation risk being left behind as buyers demand measurable outcomes, not demo-friendly toys.
Verint: Agent Factory and the New Operating System for Hybrid Workforces
Verint is building the closest thing to an operating system for hybrid human–AI work. Its Agent Factory underpins three new tools — Workforce Intelligence, Desktop Intelligence and Quality Intelligence — designed to manage, measure and improve work across both people and AI agents within a single CX Automation Platform. The crucial move is to connect agent behavior, process efficiency and outcome measurement: Desktop and Quality Intelligence link customer interactions to what agents do across systems, turning previously invisible desktop actions into analyzable workflows. One quotable figure stands out: “Verint reported AI ARR of $372 million as of Q2 FYE 2026, up 21.2% year-over-year, on total revenue of $208 million.” That growth backs the company’s stance that agent workflow automation should be orchestrated centrally, not stitched together from point solutions. In practice, this means enterprises can compose agentic AI agents, route work to humans only when needed, and focus the whole workforce on measurable outcomes, not flashy capabilities.

RingCentral and Five9: Autonomous Voice Agents as IVR Replacement Systems
RingCentral and Five9 are attacking the same problem from different angles: IVR replacement systems and the death of rigid scripts. RingCentral’s expansion of AIR Pro brings native AI agents, autonomous outreach, intelligent handoffs and new analytics to the RingCX platform, with the explicit goal of end-to-end resolution while preserving context across AI and human touchpoints. Its AI-powered workflow builder lets leaders design agent workflow automation through natural language instead of code, a critical step if autonomous voice agents are to be deployed at scale. Adoption is not trivial: more than 1,700 businesses have RingCX in place, up over 70% year over year, with more than half already using AI. Five9, meanwhile, is targeting enterprises that are “looking to move beyond scripted bots and legacy Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems with agentic AI for customer self-service,” using Voice AI Agents and a unified AI Agent Studio to build, test, deploy and monitor complex autonomous voice agents.

Krisp: Security and Quality as Gatekeepers for Agentic Autonomy
Agentic AI contact centers cannot scale if customers and regulators do not trust the voice channel. Krisp is tackling that head-on by wiring real-time Voice Security and Speech Analytics into contact center AI workflows. Its Voice Security feature detects deepfakes during live conversations, flagging suspected synthetic or cloned voices so human or autonomous voice agents do not grant access based on a convincing fake. At the same time, Speech Analytics automatically evaluates every completed interaction against quality and compliance criteria, finally breaking away from thin sampling-based QA. As GenAI increases voice cloning and social engineering attacks, call centers become a frontline defense, and authentication must shift from binary decisions to probability-informed controls. Krisp’s approach slots naturally into agentic pipelines: autonomous agents can take more responsibility for resolution when the platform can continuously check who is speaking and whether the conversation follows policy.

Across these launches, the pattern is unmistakable: the market is moving from narrow task automation to full agent autonomy and multi-turn reasoning. Krisp’s Speech Analytics is already generally available, with Voice Security offered through an early access program, underscoring how governance is catching up. The winners in this wave will be vendors — and buyers — who treat agentic AI not as a bolt-on gadget but as the new spine of the contact center, built for measurable resolution, security and continuous learning.
