When it detects a problem, the add-on uses a built-in buzzer to warn you immediately so you can shut down the system and inspect or replace the cable before a graphics card power failure occurs. Cooler Master will sell two versions of the accessory: one with a buzzer only, and another with a buzzer plus RGB lighting. Overclock3D notes that the main advantage of the add-on is that it “adds 12V-2×6 protection without requiring an expensive PSU replacement.”
