Each tab maps to a different mode of AI-powered work but stays inside a consistent experience. This reflects a wider industry move, as OpenAI and Anthropic also converge on multi-mode, always-on assistants. By turning Copilot into a super app instead of a scattered set of sidebar add-ons, Microsoft is signaling that AI agents are now a primary work surface, not an optional plugin.
